Notes: The Tobler Company (now Toblerone) published these postcards during the 1950s, and distributed them by including the cards in bars and boxes of chocolates. Almost all of the Disney characters, even insignificant ones, up to and including 'Lady and the Tramp' (1955) are depicted on these cards.

Many of the cards were reprinted, with different text on the back. I have found nine different card back types, including some variations on the Types 2 and 5. (The type designations are my own and do not bear any relation to any other publication). I have not been able to determine (yet) how many Disney Tobler postcards exist. Perhaps we will never know. I have contacted the company with a request for information, but they were not able to assist me. At least they responded to my request, and in a very friendly fashion too. That was nice.

Many (if not all) of the Tobler postcards were given away with 'Le Journal de Mickey', a popular magazine at that time. These cards had additional text printed on the back and a rubber stamp applied to the front. Types 2 and 2a were exclusively used for these cards (that is, I have found no exceptions yet).

I am attempting to document which cards were printed with which back type, and when they were published. My findings, so far, are indicated under each image. Since these cards were mostly collected, relatively few postally used examples exist. Therefore, it is extremely difficult to date the cards
